When we first encountered *Daniel, his situation was heartbreaking. At just 4 years old, he and his sister were severely undernourished. Recognising the urgent need for intervention, our team stepped in to rescue Daniel and his sister. At that time, they could not stay with their father for reasons we are unable to disclose, and no other family members were available to take them in. We provided immediate care and protection for the children while also working to support their father. Our priority was to minimise the time the children spent away from their family, as every child deserves the love and stability of a family environment.
