MEET PEACE

10-year-old *Peace’s story is one of incredible resilience in the face of unimaginable hardship. Abducted and trafficked by someone who should have protected her, Peace was torn from her familiar surroundings and taken to a remote area in Kenya, far from her home and family.

In this new and unfamiliar community, Peace was isolated and vulnerable, with no one around her who knew her story or where she had come from. As days passed, some community members grew suspicious of her presence. Peace was quiet, undernourished, and visibly disconnected from her surroundings. What was hidden from sight were the deep emotional and physical scars from the horrific abuse she had endured.

Alone, small, afraid, and exhausted, Peace had lost her voice and the will to speak. It was only through a courageous whisper of her name to a concerned passerby that her silent cry for help was finally heard.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, our team, in partnership with local authorities, swiftly intervened. Peace was rescued from her abuser and brought to safety, free at last from the immediate danger that had overshadowed her young life. This rescue operation not only saved Peace but also gave her a chance to reclaim her life and her freedom.

When Peace arrived in our care, she was met with the love and compassion she so desperately needed. Through play therapy and gentle support, our team began helping Peace to heal from her trauma. Alongside this, we embarked on the urgent task of tracing her family, who had been tirelessly searching for their daughter. The moment Peace was reunited with her parents was nothing short of miraculous—a precious reunion that underscored the unbreakable bond of family.

Today, Peace is back where she belongs, wrapped in the love and warmth of her family. Though her journey to full recovery and restoration will be a long one, the reunion with her parents has been a powerful step in her healing. It’s a poignant reminder that every child deserves the safety and love of a family, and it’s a need we are committed to fulfilling for as many children as possible.

Today, countless children like Peace face yet another day, week, or month without their families. But together, we can change that. With your support, we can reunite more children with the loving homes where they truly belong.
