10-year-old *Lenny has been joyfully reunited with his family after nearly two years apart.

In 2019, during the school holidays, Lenny went to visit his aunt. His visit, however, took an unexpected turn when he got lost trying to return home after a trip to a local shop. He wandered from street to street, growing increasingly exhausted and disoriented as the hours passed. Eventually, he was found by police officers on night patrol, who placed him in a children's remand facility. From there, Lenny was referred to us.

Reuniting Lenny with his family was no easy task. Our dedicated social workers faced numerous challenges as their initial attempts to trace his home proved unsuccessful. They combed through records, reached out to local communities, and worked tirelessly with various stakeholders to piece together Lenny’s story. Every lead was followed, every clue examined, all in the hope of finding his family.

Their persistence paid off. After months of rigorous searching, they were finally able to locate Lenny’s family. The reunion was an emotional and joyous occasion, filled with tears of relief and happiness. Lenny’s family had been anxiously searching for him, and the moment they were reunited was nothing short of a miracle.

Lenny is now back home, surrounded by his loved ones, and adjusting to life with his family once again. His story is a testament to the power of resilience and the dedication of those who work to reunite children with their families.
